UK dairy exports to EU and US drive value to £1.8 billion despite challenging conditions.

The latest figures from AHDB reveal that the value of UK dairy exports has reached £1.8 billion in 2024.
Despite challenging global trading conditions, the total value matches the previous year, with significant increases in exports to the EU and US.
Over 76% of the UK's dairy exports were to the EU, amounting to £1.4 billion, a rise of 5.6%. The US, as the largest market outside Europe, also saw a 5.7% increase in dairy shipments. A notable area of growth was cheese exports, both to the EU and US, with values hitting new highs.
The AHDB highlights plans to further foster these markets through strategic activities such as participation in Anuga in Cologne. Additionally, while trade with the Middle East faced declines, significant gains were seen in the UAE and Qatar.
