The Coconut Collab Launches Dairy-Free Kefir to Meet Growing Demand
The UK-based brand The Coconut Collab has expanded its product line with the introduction of a new dairy-free kefir drink, catering to the increasing consumer interest in gut health. Launched on April 22, 2026, the Natural Kefir is crafted by fermenting coconut water and coconut milk, resulting in a creamy and tangy beverage ideal for breakfasts. This product includes essential vitamins D, B6, and B16, and provides 30% of the UK's recommended daily calcium intake per 100ml, along with billions of live bacteria, making it a significant source of fiber.
The introduction of this drink follows the successful launch of The Coconut Collab's Gut Health Yog in 2022, which saw a 57% growth over the past year. Additionally, their newer Protein Yog experienced an impressive 240% year-over-year growth, indicating strong consumer demand for dairy alternatives with health benefits. The Natural Kefir contains no added sugar, sweeteners, artificial flavors, or preservatives, aligning with the clean-label preferences of many consumers in the alternative dairy market.
James Averdieck, founder of The Coconut Collab, stated, "A drinkable kefir is a totally natural extension of our yogurt range. Our shoppers care about taste, and they care about health and wellness, and this launch absolutely meets all those needs." Initially available at Sainsbury’s and Ocado for £3.45 per 500ml bottle, the company plans further retail launches in May and June.
