Teen Entrepreneur Launches Dairy Business in Cornwall

Charlie Sawle, a 13-year-old from St Agnes on Cornwall’s north coast, has successfully launched his own dairy business, Sid's Dairy. Despite his family's background in beef farming, Charlie has always been passionate about dairy farming. His interest in cattle began at a young age, and he showed his first calf at the Stithians Show when he was just six years old.

Charlie dedicated three years to save up enough money to purchase his first Jersey cow, Clare, born in April 2023. He now milks Clare once daily, after school, on weekdays. His dedication and love for milking are evident as he describes the satisfaction of seeing the milk and cream in the fridge at the end of the day.

At Sid's Dairy, named after Charlie's nickname, customers can purchase a variety of dairy products including fresh whole milk, semi-skimmed milk, luxurious double cream, and traditional Cornish clotted cream. All products are made from the milk of Charlie's Jersey cow, known for producing rich and creamy milk.
