Stability in UK Milk Prices as March 2025 Rates Hold Steady

The UK's dairy sector has announced that milk prices for March 2025 will remain unchanged, providing a sense of stability for British farmers. Arla, a major dairy cooperative, confirmed that its on-account price for conventional milk will stay at 48.27 pence per litre and 58.26 pence per litre for organic milk.

The stability reflects slightly increasing global milk supplies juxtaposed with steady yet slower retail sales. "Commodity markets are declining slightly. Overall, the outlook is stable," Arla stated.

Equally, Muller, another leading dairy processor, will keep its milk price the same for March, awarding farmers involved in its Advantage scheme a consistent payout of 42.25 pence per litre. The Advantage programme is aimed at fostering increased supply chain collaboration and improving environmental impact.

In parallel, First Milk, a UK-based dairy processor, also announced an unchanged milk price. The rate for a manufacturing standard litre will hold at 45.35 pence, inclusive of member premiums.
