Sigma, an operator of five plants and seven distribution centers with approximately 5,000 employees, plans to strengthen its infrastructure in Jalisco with a significant investment.

Sigma, a company engaged in the production, marketing, and distribution of food, has announced plans to invest over $100 million between 2025 and 2027 to enhance its operations in Jalisco. The company currently operates five plants and seven distribution centers, employing around 5,000 people.
The expansion aims to bolster infrastructure in the region. Jalisco's governor, Pablo Lemus Navarro, noted that this investment would enhance the production capabilities at Lagos de Moreno, one of the main dairy plants, creating better opportunities for families in the Altos region. In the first quarter of the year, Sigma reported revenue of 42,153 million pesos, a 14% increase from the same period in 2024, despite facing challenges related to rising imported raw material costs and depreciation of the peso against the dollar.
