Sebrae Minas supports 12 cheese-producer associations at ExpoQueijo Brasil 2026
Sebrae Minas works with cheesemakers in Minas Gerais to help turn traditional production into structured businesses capable of expanding. Its support covers both established producers seeking further training and those looking for guidance on improving production and consolidating their enterprises.
Speaking on PodQueijo, Sebrae Minas analyst Ricardo Boscaro said assistance is tailored to individual producers, covering needs ranging from acquiring knowledge to securing sanitary registration. “Sebrae welcomes everyone, both those who already produce but want further training and to seek sanitary registration, for example, and those who need guidance to advance in the activity,” he said.
The institution works alongside Emater, Instituto Mineiro de Agropecuária (IMA) and Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Rural (Senar). Through these partnerships, producers can be referred to services suited to their circumstances, with support addressing production development and business management.
Boscaro described the organisations’ roles as complementary. “Our work is always complementary. We can welcome this producer and guide them in the best possible way, according to their needs, so that they can develop and become a truly successful entrepreneur in this activity,” he said.
The associations supported at the exhibition represented Serro, Canastra, Araxá, Cerrado, Campo das Vertentes, Diamantina, Serras da Ibitipoca, Triângulo Mineiro, Mantiqueira de Minas, Vale do Jequitinhonha, Alagoa and Serra Geral. Their displays presented the range of artisanal cheeses made across Minas Gerais, showcasing its cheesemaking traditions and producers seeking wider recognition for their products.
