Saudi Arabia Raises Russian Dairy Exporters’ Number to 26
Saudi Arabia’s Food and Drug Authority approved the inclusion of the Semikarakorsk Cheese-Making Plant in the supplier list, according to Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, known as Rosselkhoznadzor.
The decision brings the number of Russian dairy companies authorised to supply the Saudi market to 26. Rosselkhoznadzor said the Saudi authority acted on guarantees submitted by the Russian regulator.
Russia’s dairy-export revenue exceeded $500m in 2025, rising by 13% from the previous year. The main categories by export volume were cheese and curd cheese, fermented milk products and ice cream.
Cheese and curd cheese accounted for 32% of the total volume, while fermented milk products represented 24%. Ice cream made up a further 15%.
Artyom Belov, head of Russia’s National Dairy Producers Union, has forecast that Russian dairy exports will increase by 10% in physical terms and by 15% in value terms in 2026.
