Russia is increasing whey exports: Kazakhstan remains the largest importer

In 2023, the leading exporters of whey by value were the United States ($569 million), Germany ($502 million), and France ($370 million).
As of last year, Russia ranked among the top 30 whey exporters, reports Dairynews.today, citing data from Agroexport.
According to experts, in the first 10 months of 2024, Russian whey exports reached approximately $19 million, a 6% increase compared to the same period last year.
The top three importers by value are:
Kazakhstan (33%)
Belarus (29%)
China (13%)
Preliminary estimates from Agroexport indicate that by 2030, Russian whey exports could reach 45,000 tons.
