In just the first six months of 2025, ice cream exports from Russia increased by 40%. Leading this movement is the "Iceberry" group of companies, one of the largest ice cream producers in Russia, writes Dairynews.today, citing data from Russian "Agroexport".<br />

"Iceberry" is the successor to the first Soviet project in the ice cream industry, which began in 1938. Today, the company confidently holds leading positions in the domestic market, producing over 700 million servings of ice cream annually at three high-tech factories.
The company's assortment includes more than 250 items, covering various tastes and price categories, from affordable to premium. Fresh milk is used in production, ensuring a rich and natural taste of the products. In addition to its own brands, "Iceberry" is a supplier of ice cream for private labels of major Russian and international retailers, including Auchan, Metro C&C, X5 Retail Group, "Tander", Lenta, and Globus.
One of the flagship brands of the "Iceberry" group is "Vologda Plombir", which appeared in 2016 and quickly gained popularity. Production is carried out at two sites – in Vologda and Tutayev, ensuring high quality and supply stability. The brand's lineup includes about 20 types of ice cream: cups, eskimo, cones, and blocks. The classic plombir in a cup is especially popular, as well as options with chocolate, berries, boiled condensed milk, and chocolate chips. Recently, a new product was introduced – plombir without sucrose with dietary fibers, aimed at health-conscious consumers. "Vologda Plombir" products have received prestigious awards, and the production volume in 2024 exceeded 10 thousand tons.
The "Iceberry" group is actively developing its export direction, ranking second among Russian producers in terms of overseas shipments. In 2024, the company exported more than 950 tons of ice cream to over 10 countries, including Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Israel, China, and Uzbekistan.
The company pays special attention to adapting products to the requirements of various markets:
USA: Large formats and desserts with caramel and biscuit are in demand.
Asia: Eskimo and sandwiches with unusual flavors and glazes are popular.
Europe and Russia: Preference is given to creamy flavors, juicy sorbets, and gelato.
Eastern countries: Waffle cups and classic creamy eskimo are more often purchased.
CIS countries: "Vologda Plombir" and "Filevskaya Lakomka" are highly sought after.
A company representative noted: "Undoubtedly, each country has its own requirements for products and packaging. We take these factors into account: we adapt both the recipe and, necessarily, the packaging for entering new markets. For example, the recipe was adapted for Africa, kosher formats are being developed for Israel, and special flavors and packaging design for China".
