Russia Increases Export of Oilseed Meals and Cakes by 23% in Early 2026
In January-February 2026, Russia increased the export of oilseed meals and cakes, boosting revenue by 23% compared to the same period last year. The volume of shipments exceeded 683 thousand tons, and their value amounted to more than 178 million US dollars. In physical terms, exports grew by 11%. This was reported by Dairynews.today, citing 'Agroexport' data.
The main volume of shipments consists of processed oilseed products:
- sunflower meal and cake — approximately $70 million,
- rapeseed meal and cake — approximately $59 million,
- soybean meal — more than $44 million.
Among the largest importers of Russian products in value terms are:
- China — 44%,
- Turkey — 17%,
- Uzbekistan — 10%,
- Belarus — 9%,
- Latvia — 6%.
By the end of 2025, Russia exported about 3.8 million tons of meals and cakes worth approximately $977 million.
