Reliance launches Joyland flavoured milk at ₹20
Reliance Consumer Products has entered India’s ready-to-drink dairy beverage market with Joyland flavoured milk. The product was introduced in Tamil Nadu and is currently sold only in that state, according to the company.
Joyland is offered in strawberry, vanilla and pistachio varieties. Reliance said the drinks are made with dairy ingredients and positioned around quality and affordability. The company announced the launch on social media on Wednesday.
Reliance expands its consumer-products portfolio
T Krishnakumar, director of Reliance Consumer Products, described the launch as an expansion of the company’s portfolio and of the choices available to consumers. In a press note, he said Joyland combined “authentic dairy ingredients, quality and affordability” to make the products accessible to more households.
Mr Krishnakumar said Tamil Nadu was the starting point for the brand’s development as part of a wider dairy-beverages portfolio. He said Reliance would progressively extend Joyland’s reach across India. The company did not provide a timetable for expansion.
Reliance Consumer Products is the fast-moving consumer-goods arm of Reliance Industries. The company previously entered the soft-drinks market with Campa, which is priced at ₹10 and competes with Coca-Cola and Pepsi. Joyland adds milk-based drinks to its consumer-products offerings.
