Rajasthan’s Farmers Unite for Justice

A significant protest titled "Shwet Kranti Sahakar Mahakumbh" (White Revolution Cooperative Mega-Gathering) was organized by milk producers and farmers in Ajmer. Led by Ajmer Dairy President Ramchandra Chaudhary, the protest attracted a large crowd of farmers and cattle keepers who are frustrated by the state government’s neglect and delayed payments.

The farmers express their feeling of betrayal over due payments which they rely on for their livelihoods. This financial strain has incited the current agitation, pointing to the precarious economic conditions faced by small-scale dairy producers who depend heavily on government support.

Political figures such as Leader of the Opposition Tika Ram Jully and Dharmendra Rathore also joined the rally, highlighting the political dimensions of the issue. Jully recognized the "serious" difficulties faced by the dairy community and promised to address these in the state legislative assembly. Rathore pointed out the unity among the farmers and warned of escalating protests if their demands are not addressed swiftly.

This gathering stands as a profound example of grassroots mobilization in the dairy sector, emphasizing the critical relationships among farmers, the government, and the dairy industry.
