The spotlight remains on key projects, including the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital, the Ring Road Project, and the upcoming ropeway project till Dasaswamedh Ghat, scheduled for completion by 2025. Since its inauguration in 2022, the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor has witnessed an impressive footfall of over 13 crore pilgrims, reflecting a substantial increase in devotee numbers.

Prime Minister Modi's visit follows Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's recent trip to Varanasi as part of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, where he visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. PM Modi is expected to address concerns raised during Rahul Gandhi's visit, including the comment on inebriated youths in Varanasi.

In addition to the developmental agenda, the PM will visit the Sant Ravidas Temple and convey the message of Guru Ravidas, emphasizing the importance of eradicating caste-based discrimination for social harmony. The opposition's promises of a caste census and Rahul Gandhi's focus on the OBC issue are likely to be addressed.

A significant highlight of the visit is the inauguration of the Banas Kashi Sankul, a large milk processing plant of the Banaskantha District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd. Valued at Rs 622 crore, the plant has a daily milk processing capacity of 10 lakh litres, benefiting farmers in Varanasi and eastern Uttar Pradesh. The Banas Dairy project aligns with the government's commitment to empowering the dairy sector, involving nearly one lakh people and producing various milk products.

The visit underscores the PM's dedication to bolstering Varanasi's infrastructure, agriculture, and dairy sectors, fostering economic growth and prosperity in the region.
