Perni Nani alleges Naidu and Lokesh planned to weaken Vijaya Dairy

YSRCP Krishna District President and former Andhra Pradesh minister Perni Venkatramaiah, known as Nani, made the allegations on August 8 in Machilipatnam. Speaking to reporters, he said Naidu and Lokesh were conspiring to undermine the profit-making Vijaya Dairy and expand Heritage Dairy’s presence in coastal Andhra.

Nani questioned the state government’s involvement in Vijaya Dairy, saying ministers had obtained the resignation of its chairman, Chalasani Anjaneyulu, under pressure. He said the dairy operates under the MACS Act and is not a government-nominated organisation. Instead, he described it as a cooperative in which farmers elect their representatives.

According to Nani, the government and its ministers therefore had no authority to intervene in the dairy’s internal affairs. He also said that the YS Jagan administration had not interfered with dairy operations during its five-year tenure.

Nani further alleged that Ministers Parthasarathy and Kollu Ravindra acted on Lokesh’s instructions after Anjaneyulu was elected chairman. He said the ministers threatened to imprison Anjaneyulu, his daughter and his son, who lives in the United States.

Nani alleged that Anjaneyulu suffered a heart attack because of the pressure and was admitted to an intensive-care unit. He said the ministers later entered the hospital and compelled the chairman to resign.

He warned against placing Vijaya Dairy in debt for Heritage Dairy’s benefit. Nani said those acting on Lokesh’s directions to damage the farmers’ cooperative would face imprisonment if YS Jagan returned to power. The statements were reported by ANI.
