Over Two Thousand Dairy Products Compete in U.S. Cheese Championship

The United States Championship Cheese Contest® has received more than 2400 entries for its 2025 edition. Held every two years in the U.S., this prestigious competition draws dairy manufacturers from across the country, all vying for recognition and marketadvancement.
The Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association, which organizes the championships in odd-numbered years, follows a rigorous judging process. Set to take place next month in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the contest will evaluate cheese, butter, cultured products, and dry dairy ingredients across 117 classes.
Judging Criteria
Entries will be assessed based on a spectrum of criteria including flavor, body, texture, salt, color, finish, and packaging. The panel of judges will award gold, silver, and bronze medals to the top three scoring entries in each category.
