Over Half of Bryansk Oblast's Agricultural Exports Go to Belarus
Belarus accounts for more than 50% of the agricultural exports from Bryansk Oblast. This was reported by Andrey Polenok, Deputy Director of the regional Department of Agriculture, during the Russian agricultural exhibition 'Golden Autumn.'
According to Polenok, these figures are based on customs statistics. The region is also discussing the development of agricultural raw material processing and expanding the range of agri-industrial products exported.
The export geography of Bryansk Oblast covers more than 30 countries. The primary foreign market for oilseeds is still Belarus. Dairy products are supplied to Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Armenia, Georgia, and other countries.
The list of exported food and processing industry products includes supplies to Belarus, Kazakhstan, China, Moldova, Georgia, and Azerbaijan. Other agricultural products are also sent to Uzbekistan, Uruguay, and other countries.
'According to customs statistics, more than 50% of Bryansk Oblast's agri-industrial product exports go to Belarus. There is currently work being done to enhance the processing of agricultural products and to expand export horizons,' said Polenok.
The 'Golden Autumn' exhibition has been held since 1999 and is timed to coincide with Agricultural Worker and Processing Industry Day. In 2026, the event was held from October 7 to 10.
