Oksana Lut: Russian Agriculture Fully Meets the Country's Food Needs

According to her, agriculture continues to show positive development dynamics: in the first eight months of the current year, production volumes increased by 1.2%.
"Our agricultural producers fully meet the country's domestic food needs. At the same time, production volumes allow us to maintain a high export potential — both in raw materials and processed products," emphasized the minister.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture's forecasts, grain exports in the 2025/26 season (from July to June) will amount to about 50 million tons, which will allow Russia to maintain its position as the largest wheat exporter in the global market.
Previously, the department noted that the share of domestic products in the structure of the Russian food market exceeds 80%, and in certain categories — milk, grain, and meat — the level of self-sufficiency reaches 90–100%.
