Fisher & Thompson's acquisition of CIDEC strengthens their position in New York's agriculture market.
The acquisition of CIDEC, a dairy farm supply company in Auburn, New York, was completed by Fisher & Thompson from Pennsylvania in January 2023. Owners Josh Bare and Jason Waters believe in the strategic benefit of being located in New York state's top agriculture-producing county. CIDEC complements Fisher & Thompson's existing operations by providing similar services such as selling, installing, and servicing equipment for the dairy and agricultural industry along the East Coast. "There is really no area that is stronger than the Central New York region," said Bare. The company's strategy focuses on supporting growth in farms, both in size and through innovations in technology. Under its new management, CIDEC continues to provide its established services in chill centers and pasteurization.
