National Dairy Council Seeks Young Talent for Upcoming Campaign

The National Dairy Council (NDC) has announced an open call for auditions, inviting children between the ages of seven and 12 to participate in a new advertising campaign set to launch this autumn. The campaign will be broadcast across multiple platforms, including television, streaming services, radio, digital, social media, and outdoor billboards.

The role being cast is for 'Seání', a boy who is knowledgeable about farming and hails from a dairy farm. Acting experience is not required, as the casting team is primarily looking for children who are naturally confident, curious, and at ease on camera. According to NDC CEO Emma Walls, the campaign aims to celebrate Ireland's pasture-based farming and emphasize the National Dairy Council's Guarantee.

Emma Walls noted, "We are working with a very experienced casting director to find our Seání. We want to find the very best person for the role, whatever their background." She also mentioned that authenticity is important, and children from farming backgrounds may have an edge in the selection process.

While the current phase of the campaign is focused on casting boys, Emma Walls assured that there will be opportunities for girls to participate in future shoots. Parents or guardians interested in applying on behalf of their children must submit applications by July 21, 2026.

Applications should include a recent photograph, a short audition video, and basic details about the child. The video, lasting one to two minutes, should feature the child introducing themselves and sharing their interests. Simplicity and authenticity are encouraged in the videos, allowing the child's natural personality to shine through.

Selected children must be available for auditions, rehearsals, fittings, and filming in Dublin during August, with a parent or guardian accompanying them. The final casting decisions will be made by the production team in collaboration with the director and casting director. More information, including full audition requirements and submission details, is available on the NDC website.
