During a recent visit to China's Guangdong Province, Minsk Oblast Governor Aleksandr Turchin extended an invitation to local enterprises to collaborate on joint projects in the dairy industry. The press service of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee shared the news with BelTA.
“Belarus is a major producer and exporter of foodstuffs, including dairy products, with annual food exports valued at approximately $8 billion,” Turchin explained. “Minsk Oblast accounts for about 25% of the country's food output. While our primary market is Russia, we also export around 11% to China, primarily in the form of dry dairy products.”
Governor Turchin invited representatives from Guangdong Province to visit Minsk Oblast and explore local dairy enterprises firsthand. “Seeing our production facilities in person will provide a better understanding of the products we supply to the Chinese market. Our Dairy Plant No.1, located in Minsk, produces a wide range of dairy products including milk, yogurt, and sour cream, supplying the capital city with these essentials,” Turchin said. “We are keen on collaboration not only in milk processing but also in dairy production. Both of us build farms, and we could greatly benefit from sharing our expertise and adopting best practices.”
The Minsk Oblast delegation is on a three-day visit to Guangdong Province, during which Governor Turchin toured several Chinese enterprises on July 29.
