Minnesota State Fair Features Apple Pie Sundaes for 250th Anniversary
The Dairy Goodness Bar, located at the corner of Judson Avenue and Underwood Street, will feature the 'Moo-sota Apple Pie' as this year's specialty flavor for sundaes and malts. This selection honors the nation's 250th birthday by incorporating the classic American dessert into the offerings. The apples are sourced from Pine Tree Apple Orchard in White Bear Lake.
Unlike previous years, Midwest Dairy did not conduct a public vote to choose the special flavor. Last year, the 'Flavor of the Fair' was Cookie Butter Cheesecake. The Dairy Goodness Bar will operate between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. during the fair, closing at 8 p.m. on Labor Day.
In addition to the new flavor, Midwest Dairy continues to offer traditional favorites such as vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and raspberry. The fair will run from August 27 to September 7, 2026.
Midwest Dairy also oversees the All-You-Can-Drink Milk stand, situated at the corner of Judson Avenue and Clough Street. The price for a cup of milk remains at $3, consistent with the previous two years.
