India’s benchmark indices opened with little change on Tuesday, September 1. The Nifty 50 stood at 24,075.95, while the BSE Sensex was up 78.48 points at 77,035.75 at 11:04 IST. Most sectoral gauges declined, and the small-cap and mid-cap indices fell by 0.3% and more than 1%, respectively. Against that backdrop, four stocks recorded stronger gains.

Milky Mist Dairy Food rose more than 9% after reporting a substantial improvement in its June-quarter results. Profit after tax reached ₹65 crore, compared with ₹6.53 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations increased 43.6% to ₹973.45 crore from ₹678.09 crore. The company said ice cream, curd and yoghurt were among the main contributors to growth, with an extended summer in southern India supporting demand.

The dairy company’s gross profit increased 56.1% to ₹333.02 crore, while gross margin widened to 34.21% from 31.46%. EBITDA rose 74.5% to ₹144.89 crore, and the EBITDA margin expanded to 14.88% from 12.24%. Milky Mist Dairy Food had listed earlier in August at an 18% premium to its ₹140 issue price. On Tuesday, its BSE opening price was ₹229.30; it reached ₹231 during the session and fell as low as ₹222.

Sudeep Shah, head of technical and derivatives research at SBI Securities, said the stock had maintained an upward movement since its August 18 listing. He identified ₹204–206 as an immediate support area. Manali Petrochemicals opened at ₹83.62 on the BSE, reached ₹87.99 and gained 8%. The stock was up 34% over one month, 45.87% over three months, 57% over six months and 38% year to date.

Shah said Manali Petrochemicals had broken above a downward-sloping trendline on its weekly chart about three weeks earlier. He also noted that the stock was above key moving averages and that its rising Average Directional Index indicated stronger momentum. He placed immediate support at ₹78–78.5.

Vardhman Textiles advanced as much as 12%. The shares had gained nearly 43% in 2026 and about 49% over the previous 12 months, while remaining roughly 10% below their 52-week high of ₹688. Hitesh Rathi, a technical analyst covering equity and derivatives at Angel One, said the stock had experienced profit-taking after a sharp rise. He said a Bullish Anchor Column had appeared on its 3% × 3% daily Point & Figure chart, while a reversal of an earlier bearish pattern on the 1% × 3% chart suggested that selling at lower levels was easing. Rathi identified a move above 628 as confirmation that the corrective phase was ending and a break above 670 as a possible resumption point for the upward movement.

Godrej Agrovet climbed about 10% after Kotak Institutional Equities retained its Buy rating. The shares had risen 23.52% in the preceding month. The brokerage assigned a fair value of ₹1,010 and highlighted the company’s oil-palm business, which reported ₹4.3 billion in EBITDA in FY2026. Kotak estimated that the segment could exceed ₹10 billion in EBITDA by FY2031, supported by double-digit growth in fresh fruit bunch volumes and a larger contribution from value-added products. The company opened at ₹638.25 on the BSE, reached an intraday high of ₹689.25 and touched a low of ₹633.85.
