Milk Sustainability Center: Regional Expansion and New Strategic Partner
In a move set to redefine sustainable dairy farming, global agritech leaders John Deere and DeLaval have announced the expansion of the Milk Sustainability Centre (MSC) to more international markets, welcoming dsm-firmenich as a new Strategic Partner. Launched in 2023, the MSC offers a unified digital ecosystem that aggregates data to optimize productivity and reduce carbon emissions. The MSC's expansion now covers 13 countries across North America and Europe, with plans to enter emerging markets like India, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. Lars Bergmann of DeLaval emphasizes the collaboration’s goal of supporting long-term sustainability.

The MSC platform, compatible with over 30 software systems, helps monitor Nutrient Use Efficiency and track CO₂e emissions, with features like automated digital integration. John Deere’s Alexander Berges notes future enhancements for profitability and environmental performance. DSM-Firmenich introduces environmental modelling tools through Sustell™ software, providing lifecycle assessment and carbon footprint tracking. This partnership aims for scalable, actionable sustainability assessments with credible data to support profitable improvements. In a climate-challenged and scrutinized dairy landscape, MSC emerges as a vital tool for proving environmental accountability and fostering climate-smart dairy systems, particularly in regions like India.
