Midwest Dairy and VentureFuel Launch Second Annual Dairy Accelerator
The Midwest Dairy Accelerator, in collaboration with VentureFuel, has announced the commencement of its second annual program to foster innovation among dairy-focused startups. The initiative, open for applications until May 5, 2026, seeks to accelerate the growth of early-stage companies utilizing Midwest dairy as a core ingredient.
The ten-week hybrid program will sel ect six startups to receive mentorship fr om industry leaders in dairy, food, and consumer packaged goods. Participants will benefit fr om strategic guidance, commercialization support, and brand assets like video commercials. The program culminates in a final pitch event in Minneapolis on September 16, 2026, wh ere prizes totaling up to $30,000 will be awarded.
Eligible companies must have a prototype reviewed under USDA oversight. Interested entrepreneurs can attend a virtual information session on April 28, 2026. The program aims to meet increasing consumer demand for dairy products that excel in flavor, functionality, and convenience.
Corey Scott, CEO of Midwest Dairy, highlighted the role of innovation in the dairy industry, stating, "The future of dairy depends on our commitment to innovation and our recognition of the vital role entrepreneurs play in driving the industry forward."
Building on past collaborations with The Hatchery and No More Empty Pots, this program is designed to have a long-term impact on the dairy sector's evolution in the U.S. Midwest Dairy represents 3,600 dairy farm families and focuses on increasing consumer confidence in dairy products across a ten-state region.
