Marks & Spencer Recalls Greek Yogurt Due to Undeclared Gluten
Marks & Spencer (M&S) has announced a recall of its Authentic Greek Yogurt with Vanilla, prompted by the possible presence of undeclared gluten. This recall concerns 500g tubs with the use-by date marked as May 12, 2026. The recall was initiated on April 18, 2026, after the Food Standards Agency (FSA) issued an alert.
The recall affects only a small batch of the product, and no other M&S products are impacted. Consumers who have purchased the product are advised not to consume it if they have a gluten allergy or intolerance. Instead, the item should be returned to the nearest M&S store for a full refund.
M&S has issued point-of-sale notices to inform customers of the recall and the potential health risk associated with gluten consumption. The company emphasized the importance of customer safety and assured that it takes food safety seriously.
In related news, other major UK retailers have also issued product recalls. Tesco recently recalled its Finest Summer Edition Chocolate Affogato Dessert due to potential plastic contamination. Additionally, Aldi has recalled its The Fishmonger Hot Smoked 2 Salmon Fillets due to a packaging error regarding the use-by date.
