Malaysian consumers are increasingly turning to Fonterra dairy products to meet their nutritional needs, with the cooperative reporting daily consumption equivalent to 1.9 million glasses of its branded products.
The dairy giant's portfolio in Malaysia includes consumer and foodservice products under well-known brands such as Anchor, Fernleaf, Anlene, Anmum, Mainland, and CalciYum. In addition to retail offerings, Fonterra supplies dairy ingredients to food and beverage manufacturers across the country.
"Malaysians are consuming more dairy than ever before, and Fonterra is well-positioned to cater to this growing demand," said Jose Miguel Porraz-Lando, Managing Director of Fonterra Brands Malaysia.
He highlighted the cooperative's market leadership, noting that Anlene is Malaysia's top-selling high-calcium milk, Anmum Materna leads the maternal milk segment, and Fonterra holds a dominant position in the foodservice category.
To support the rising demand, Fonterra operates two manufacturing facilities in Malaysia with the capacity to process 10,000 metric tonnes of New Zealand dairy annually.
The growth in dairy consumption reflects an increasing awareness of health and nutrition among Malaysians, a trend Fonterra aims to capitalize on through its diverse product offerings and strong market presence.
