Müller has declared an increase in the milk price by 1p per litre, effective from July 1, 2024, in a move to further support its dairy farmers. This adjustment will see farmers participating in Müller’s Advantage scheme receiving a milk price of 39p per litre.
The Advantage programme encourages enhanced collaboration along the supply chain, improvements in herd health, and reductions in environmental impact.
Richard Collins, Head of Agriculture at Müller Milk & Ingredients, acknowledged the challenges farmers continue to face and expressed commitment to their support. "While the market outlook remains stable, and following a modest increase of 0.5p per litre in June, we are pleased to further raise our farm gate milk price by an additional 1p per litre for July,” said Collins.
He added, “As always, we will continue to monitor supply and demand dynamics closely over the coming months.” This decision underlines Müller’s ongoing efforts to provide robust support to its suppliers amid fluctuating market conditions.
