The complaint highlighted that dairy owners were continuously dumping untreated waste on the road despite warnings from the municipal corporation.

Officials of the Ludhiana Urban Water and Wastewater Management Limited filed a complaint against the dairy owners along the Tajpur Road Dairy Complex.
The complaint mentioned that these dairy owners persistently dumped untreated waste, which eventually drained into the Buddha Nullah, despite receiving repeated warnings from the municipal corporation authorities. Following the complaint's submission by MC officials, the Division Number 7 police registered a case against four dairy owners.
This legal action came after Punjab's governor criticized city officials for the lack of water treatment at the Effluent Treatment Plant during his visit. The dairy owners identified in the complaint are facing charges related to water pollution and endangering public health under relevant legal sections covering water pollution offenses.
