The main destination for these exports remains Kazakhstan, which accounted for the majority of Kyrgyz milk and cream exports. In January–April 2026, Kyrgyzstan exported 11.8 thousand tons of dairy products, which is 1.69 thousand tons more than the same period last year.

A few dozen tons of products were also sent to Uzbekistan. This trend highlights the strengthening of regional food trade in Central Asia.

The increase in exports is linked to the gradual development of dairy processing in Kyrgyzstan. In recent years, new dairy workshops and small processing enterprises have been emerging in the country, targeting not only the domestic market but also neighboring states.

An additional factor is Kyrgyzstan's participation in the Eurasian Economic Union. Unified veterinary and customs regulations simplify the access of products to the Kazakh market, which is one of the key buyers of Kyrgyz dairy products.
