The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) has registered its first company from Myanmar, expanding the geography of exchange trading participants to 82 countries. The newcomer plans to purchase Belarusian dairy products. This aligns with the growing interest of Southeast Asian countries in Belarusian goods on the exchange platform.

Currently, five companies from Southeast Asia are accredited on the BUCE: Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and now Myanmar. Almost all of them joined the trading in the last four months, with the primary goal of acquiring dairy products.

Singapore demonstrates the highest activity among the countries in the region. In 2024, the value of transactions by Singaporean companies on the BUCE reached $28 million, showing a 1.6-fold increase. The main imported goods were lumber, cellulose, and skimmed milk powder. The positive dynamics continue in 2025: in the first quarter, the trade turnover between Belarus and Singapore through the exchange amounted to $13.6 million, which is 5.2 times higher than the same period last year.

The BUCE predicts the continued dominance of Belarusian exports in trade with Southeast Asian countries in 2025. Key drivers of growth in exchange transactions will remain softwood lumber and dry dairy products, which are in high demand in the region.

In total, 8,246 foreign companies are accredited on the BUCE, including 10 from Singapore and one each from Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Myanmar.
