Kerry Group has shared news of a milk price top-up payment set to be issued this week for milk supplied in the latter half of 2023.

The payment, totaling 1c/L (including VAT), covers qualifying milk solids supplied from July to December 2023. The announcement follows the processor's confirmation last month of a stable milk price of 35c/L, inclusive of VAT, for November supplies, with the base price at 32c/L and a milk contract payment of 3c/L.
The additional top-up reflects Kerry Group's ongoing commitment to supporting its milk suppliers amidst market uncertainties.
Earlier a spokesperson from Kerry Group noted, "Sentiment regarding dairy commodities is cautiously positive for 2024 as the challenges of a tumultuous 2023 come to a conclusion. However, lingering uncertainties around the market fundamentals underscore the cautious optimism."
