Kazakhstan Ready to Increase Export of Dairy and Other Agricultural Products to Georgia
By the end of 2025, the trade turnover of agricultural products between Kazakhstan and Georgia increased by 77% and exceeded $116 million. The main share of Kazakhstan's exports to the Georgian market consisted of wheat and meslin, dairy products, onions, and meat products.
"The dynamics of agricultural trade between our countries shows steady growth, confirming the high potential for further cooperation. We are interested in supplying grain, flour, vegetable oils, meat and dairy products, pasta, and confectionery," noted Aidarbek Saparov during the dialogue.
The parties paid special attention to expanding the supply of livestock products. During the meeting, issues regarding the export of pork and live pigs to the Georgian market were discussed.
Veterinary services remain an important area of cooperation. In January 2025, the veterinary services of Kazakhstan and Georgia agreed on veterinary certificates for the export of breeding and commercial cattle and small ruminants, as well as slaughter cattle and sheep from Kazakhstan to Georgia. Work in this area continues.
The parties also discussed prospects for cooperation in personnel training, scientific support of the agricultural sector, and the implementation of joint investment and scientific projects.
Davit Songulashvili confirmed the Georgian side's interest in further strengthening the partnership with Kazakhstan and developing mutually beneficial cooperation in the agricultural sector.
In addition to the meeting with the Georgian side, the Kazakh delegation held negotiations with representatives of French business. Investment cooperation issues in the agro-industrial complex were discussed with Harvest Group SA. With the leadership of Boehringer Ingelheim, the prospects for cooperation in the production of foot-and-mouth disease vaccines and strengthening biosecurity were explored.
During the meeting with IrriFrance, one of the European producers of irrigation systems, the French side presented modern solutions in water-saving technologies and equipment for irrigated farming.
