Karnataka Expands Global Reach with Nandini Ghee Exports

The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has announced the international expansion of its Nandini Ghee product line, with shipments now reaching the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Australia. This marks a significant milestone as these are new markets for the product. The initiative was launched by Karnataka's Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who emphasized the growing global demand for high-quality Indian dairy products.

Kumar, a native of Mysuru residing in the United States, played a pivotal role in securing the contract for the overseas supply of Nandini Ghee. KMF Managing Director Shivaswamy noted that the federation already exports a diverse range of dairy products, including cheese, butter, and ice-cream, to countries with large Indian communities.

The initial export orders include 8 tonnes to Saudi Arabia, 5 tonnes to the United States, and 1 tonne to Australia. These figures illustrate the robust demand for Nandini Ghee and underscore KMF's status as an emerging player in the international dairy market. The export effort highlights Karnataka's capability to meet global dairy processing and packaging standards.

As demand for culturally significant dairy products continues to rise, KMF's strategy demonstrates the potential for regional cooperatives to expand their international presence by leveraging quality, brand trust, and diaspora networks.
