Jordanian Dairy Company Faces 491 Violations for Unpaid Wages
The Ministry of Labor in Jordan has been actively monitoring a dairy company accused of failing to pay its workers. According to Mohammad Al-Zyoud, the ministry's spokesperson, 491 violations have been issued against the company since early 2025. The infractions were identified during 14 inspection visits, with the latest visit occurring on Monday.
Al-Zyoud mentioned that the initial complaint was documented through the Himaya Platform in October of last year. Since then, approximately 47 labor complaints have been filed, primarily concerning delayed wages. The violations have been referred to the judiciary to ensure that workers receive their due rights.
Each recorded violation is subject to Article 139 of the Labor Law, which mandates fines ranging fr om 500 to 1,000 Jordanian dinars. In instances wh ere the Penal Code prescribes harsher penalties, those will be enforced. Additionally, penalties are cumulative in cases of multiple violations.
