Iraq Among Top Importers of Turkish Dairy Products in 2025
Data from the Turkish Association of Packaged Milk and Dairy Products Manufacturers (ASUD) indicates that Iraq was one of the top five importers of Turkish dairy products in 2025. The total export value to these countries, including Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Northern Cyprus, and the United Arab Emirates, reached $523.3 million, representing a 6.9% increase from $489.5 million in 2024.
Cheese was the leading product in these exports, amounting to approximately $236 million. Other significant exports included whey products, skimmed milk powder, and ice cream. Collectively, these five countries accounted for 40.7% of Turkey's total dairy exports.
Turkey exports dairy products to about 100 countries worldwide, demonstrating the global reach and demand for Turkish dairy goods. The increase in exports highlights the growing importance of the dairy sector in Turkey's international trade portfolio.
