Granarolo UK Reopens £10m Distribution Warehouse After Devastating Fire

Granarolo UK Ltd, a subsidiary of the prominent Italian dairy producer Granarolo S.p.A., has officially reopened its distribution warehouse on Stringes Lane, Willenhall. This development comes after a significant fire in January 2023 destroyed over 70% of the previous building, displacing around 100 employees to a temporary facility.

The new warehouse, a £10 million investment, was unveiled at a grand opening ceremony attended by local dignitaries, including Walsall Council leader Councillor Mike Bird, Walsall Mayor Councillor Louise Harrison, and Francesco Badde from the Italian Embassy in London. The event also featured representatives from Granarolo S.p.A. Italy.

Anthony Bosco, CEO of Granarolo UK, highlighted the resilience and future prospects of the company during the ceremony. The new facility replaces the former 3,200 sq ft site, which was demolished following the fire.

The investment in the new site underscores Granarolo's commitment to maintaining its operations in the UK, despite the challenges posed by the fire. The facility aims to enhance the distribution capabilities of the company within the region.
