Fristam Pumps India opens on-site service station at Milky Mist
Fristam Pumps India has inaugurated a dedicated service station at the premises of Milky Mist, a dairy-processing company and one of the pump supplier’s key customers. The facility places technical support at the customer’s site and is intended to improve the handling of equipment requirements.
The station will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Fristam said its local presence would allow quicker intervention, preventive maintenance and the resolution of service requirements, while helping to limit downtime linked to equipment issues and supporting lifecycle management for its hygienic pumping systems.
Milky Mist has more than 650 Fristam hygienic pumps installed across its operations. The scale of the installed equipment was cited in connection with the new facility, which the companies said would support equipment availability and service efficiency across Milky Mist’s dairy-processing facilities.
Fristam Pumps India described the arrangement as a customer-focused model that brings its technical expertise closer to the point of operation. Representatives at the inauguration said that providing assistance at the customer’s facility was particularly relevant to dairy processing, where reliable equipment and uninterrupted production are important operational requirements.
The ceremony was attended by Ravi Kumar, general manager for production at Milky Mist; Balamurugan, senior manager for engineering and projects; and Sakthiraj, assistant general manager for human resources. Fristam Pumps India was represented by Mayur Shinde, its managing director; Chandrakant Mane, national sales head; and Prathish Kumar, regional sales manager for the south.
A ribbon-cutting and lamp-lighting ceremony marked the formal start of the service facility. Fristam said the initiative was intended to provide timely technical assistance and proactive service while reinforcing its long-term relationship with Milky Mist. The company also acknowledged Satish Kumar T, managing director of Milky Mist, for his continued trust and support in establishing the station.
The new arrangement forms part of the companies’ longer-standing relationship, which they associate with reliability, operational efficiency and service support. Fristam said the model combines equipment expertise with a permanent service presence at the customer’s facility as dairy processors in India expand their use of processing capacity and technology.
