Fonterra Expands Foodservice Range in China with New UHT Cream Offering
The foodservice sector is a crucial area for Fonterra, supporting its strategic focus on high-value channels with products such as UHT cream, cream cheese, and mozzarella. The new Anchor Easy Bakery Cream targets China’s expanding mid-tier UHT cream market, catering to the country's growing demand for dairy, driven by urbanization, a rising middle class, and increasing awareness of dairy’s nutritional benefits.

Fonterra Greater China CEO Teh-han Chow highlighted the product’s potential, stating, “Our strong foodservice presence in China allows us to tap into new markets with products like this, helping to sustain our leadership and extend our reach to new cities. CIIE is an excellent venue to showcase our high-quality dairy offerings and reinforce our focus on sustainability, nutritional health, and innovation tailored to local needs.”

Fonterra operates six application centers across China, fostering collaboration with local technical experts and customers to innovate new applications using its dairy ingredients. Additionally, the company underscored its commitment to sustainability at CIIE 2024 by showcasing its Carbon Footprinter tool, which enables customers to assess the emissions footprint of their products.
