First Milk Maintains May 2026 Milk Price Amidst Industry Changes
First Milk, a major player in the dairy industry, has confirmed that it will maintain the price of its standard manufacturing litre at 30.75 pence per litre (ppl) from May 1, 2026. This price includes the member premium and is consistent with the rates set for the preceding months, such as March 2026.
In a series of announcements this year, First Milk has repeatedly decided to hold its milk price steady, signaling a stable outlook for its members amidst fluctuating dairy market conditions. The decision to maintain the current price level aligns with First Milk's ongoing commitment to providing consistent returns to its dairy farmer members.
Besides pricing updates, First Milk has been actively involved in initiatives aimed at enhancing sustainable practices within the dairy sector. The company, in collaboration with Agricarbon, has been exploring evidence of soil carbon gains through regenerative dairy farming techniques.
Furthermore, First Milk's influence extends beyond pricing and sustainability. The company recently showcased its award-winning cheese at the Gulfood 2026 event, highlighting its role in promoting British dairy products on an international stage.
