Firefighters battled a dairy barn fire in Mostyn

Fire crews attended a fire at one of the barns at Llaethdy Mynydd Mostyn Dairy on Thursday. Images from the scene showed several fire engines near the farm, with firefighters using hose reels as smoke rose above the site.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said its crews were dealing with an incident on Mostyn Mountain. The service advised people in the surrounding area to keep windows and doors shut because of the smoke and asked the public to stay away while emergency responders worked.

A dairy statement issued on Thursday evening said the fire had affected one of the farm’s barns. The business reported that everyone was safe, that nobody had been injured and that all the animals were safe and well.

The dairy also said its milkshake operation had not been affected and would continue as usual. It said the situation at the barn was still developing and that fire crews remained at the farm. The business said it would provide further updates when information became available.
