The U.S. FDA has issued a health alert for a popular cheese due to potential Listeria contamination.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently highlighted potential health risks associated with a popular brie cheese sold in the United States. Fromi USA has voluntarily withdrawn Brie Royal Faucon cheese, following concerns of contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, a dangerous bacterium that can cause serious and occasionally fatal infections.
According to the FDA, Listeria infections pose significant risks to young children, the elderly, and individuals with weakened immune systems. Pregnant women are also at risk of severe effects from the bacterium.
