Dr Meenesh Shah is appointed chair of IRMA School’s Executive Board
Dr Meenesh Shah was appointed chairperson of the Executive Board of IRMA School at its first meeting on 8 July 2026 in Anand, India. Shah is chairman of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). His term as chairperson of the school’s executive board will last three years.
The board recommended Shah’s appointment under Section 10(1) of the Tribhuvan Sahkari University Statutes 2025. The provision gives the board authority to make such a recommendation.
Shah said he was honoured to accept the position and would remain committed to strengthening co-operatives and supporting sustainable innovation. He said he believed IRMA would continue its mission of encouraging students and preparing professionals to address challenges in rural development.
In addition to his role at NDDB, Shah chairs the boards of Mother Dairy, IDMC Ltd, Indian Immunologicals Limited, NDDB Dairy Services, NDDB MRIDA Limited and NDDB CALF Ltd. He is also chairman of the National Cooperative Dairy Federation of India and National Cooperative Organics Ltd.
Shah serves on the governing boards of several institutions. He is a member of the board of directors of the International Dairy Federation and the member secretary of the Indian National Committee of the federation.
According to the announcement, Shah has worked in India’s dairy sector for more than four decades. His responsibilities have included work connected with co-operative development, dairy operations and the livelihoods of rural farmers.
