Delamere Dairy and Swizzels Collaborate for Retro Milk Drink Launch

Delamere Dairy, a Knutsford-based company, has partnered with Swizzels Matlow, a confectionery brand in Middlewich, to introduce a new line of flavoured milk drinks. The collaboration aims to evoke nostalgia by featuring flavours reminiscent of childhood treats. These drinks will be available in convenience stores across the UK starting in July.

The new Delamere and Swizzels Matlow Flavoured Milk range will include three distinct flavours: Squashies Drumstick Raspberry & Milk, Squashies Rhubarb & Custard, and Lemon Refreshers. These drinks are packaged in recyclable glass bottles, emphasizing sustainability.

Jessica Page, the brand manager at Delamere Flavoured Milk, expressed enthusiasm about the release, noting that this is their first collaboration. She highlighted the fun and nostalgic appeal of the drinks, which are designed for convenient, on-the-go consumption. The drinks are priced starting at £1.17, making them an affordable treat option.

Delamere Dairy has a long-standing history in the dairy industry, having produced dairy products for over 40 years. The company distributes its products to more than 20 countries, showcasing its extensive reach and industry experience.

Sarah-Louise Heslop, head of marketing at Swizzels, commented on the collaboration, emphasizing the playful and nostalgic nature of Swizzels' flavours. She noted that the milk drinks offer a refreshing way to enjoy these familiar tastes.

This collaboration is set to be the beginning of a long-term partnership between Delamere Dairy and Swizzels, with plans to introduce seasonal flavours in future releases. Swizzels, known for its classic confectionery such as Refreshers, Love Hearts, and Drumstick Lollies, expanded its operations with a new site in Middlewich in 2022.
