Workers at Albuquerque's Creamland Dairy have begun a strike over stalled contract negotiations.

The labor dispute at Creamland Dairy in Albuquerque, New Mexico, escalated when workers initiated a strike on Wednesday at 10 p.m., as confirmed by Teamsters Local 492. Union representatives criticized the company for hesitating to negotiate earnestly over the past months. "This company seems to be unwilling to give our members a fair contract that addresses our members’ needs," stated Andrew L. Palmer, the union’s secretary-treasurer. He expressed willingness to resume negotiations when the company presents an offer meeting the workers’ expectations.
In response, Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), which co-operates with Teamsters, voiced disappointment over the strike, maintaining their stance on seeking a constructive bargaining process. DFA stated, "We are committed to a respectful, constructive bargaining process that offers competitive wages and benefits."
During the industrial action, DFA is implementing measures to ensure minimal disruption to their services, particularly to local schools relying on their dairy supplies.
