The number of cattle in the EAEU exceeded 30.6 million heads: Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan provided the growth

According to the Eurasian Economic Commission, the total number of cattle in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union at the beginning of 2025 amounted to 30 million 619.9 thousand heads, which is 438 thousand heads more than in the same period in 2024 (30 million 181.9 thousand).

The largest number of cattle by the end of 2025 was registered in the Russian Federation - 16.3 million heads. The minimum value was recorded in Armenia - 470 thousand heads.
In the period from 2020 to 2025, the peak in the number of cattle in the EAEU was observed in 2021, when the total number reached 32 million 494.5 thousand heads. Since then, a number of countries, including Russia, Belarus and Armenia, have noted a decrease in the number of cattle, while Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have shown steady growth.
