Cheese Open 2024 in Aktau is postponed to autumn due to the flooding situation in Kazakhstan

As reported by The DairyNews, the organizers of the event, the International Forum of Dairy Experts, Cheese and Dairy Product Manufacturers "Cheese Open 2024," which was planned to be held on May 9-10 in the city of Aktau, is being postponed to the autumn of 2024 due to the state of emergency caused by the flooding situation.

Several large dairy enterprises, which were supposed to participate in the event, are currently engaged in providing assistance to those affected by the flood, making it impossible for them to fully participate in the forum.
As previously announced by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, more than 111 thousand people have been evacuated from several settlements due to the flooding situation. According to the department, in the Akmola, Aktobe, Kostanay, Atyrau, and North Kazakhstan regions, 5,411 private residential houses and 1,607 yards remain flooded.
"Due to the emergency situation in Kazakhstan, the decision has been made to postpone the international dairy forum to autumn. The new date will be announced additionally," said the representative of the organizers, Alexandra Grigolova.
