Cayuga Milk Ingredients expands in New York
Cayuga Milk Ingredients (CMI), alongside Tetra Pak, has inaugurated an expanded facility in Auburn, Cayuga County, as part of a two-phase, multimillion-dollar investment in New York State. CMI, a farmer-owned dairy processor situated in the Finger Lakes region, annually produces 1.5 billion pounds of milk on 65,000 acres and offers a wide range of dairy products. The expansion involves a 235,000-square-foot consumer goods plant and introduces state-of-the-art processing equipment.

The project enhances CMI's existing operations with advanced packaging and processing technologies aimed at economic and environmental efficiency. "Shelf-stable innovation continues to redefine what’s possible in food and beverage,” Mat Rutz of Tetra Pak US and Canada stated, highlighting the innovative solutions provided. The facility has supported over 350 construction jobs and aims for 150 additional positions by autumn 2025. Brian Linney, CEO of CMI, emphasized the commitment to innovation and sustainability, expressing excitement to reinvest in the local community and contribute economically to the state.
