Cattle Care launches AI-powered OmniFeed platform
Cattle Care introduced OmniFeed as a data-based system for monitoring and managing feeding work on dairy farms. The platform follows the process from the commodity bay to the feed bunk, combining camera systems, location tracking and artificial-intelligence analysis.
Feed is among the largest costs for dairy businesses, according to the company. OmniFeed is designed to detect problems including the loading of incorrect ingredients, differences from the intended ration, spilled feed, missed feed push-ups and delays in delivery.
The system collects operational information continuously through cameras installed at selected points, GPS tracking and automated analysis. Its reporting functions cover ration-accuracy records, feeder-performance assessments, feed stocks, delivery movements, feeding-event documentation and longer-term operational patterns.
Rather than concentrating mainly on ration design or mixer-scale readings, OmniFeed records how feeding procedures are carried out on the farm. Activities are documented automatically, reducing the need for manual observation and paperwork. Producers can use the records to identify operating mistakes, review employee performance and respond to problems.
Cattle Care said the additional visibility is intended to support more efficient work in the feed centre, limit waste and confirm that prepared rations reach animals as planned. The platform does not replace the company’s other monitoring products, which include OmniCow, OmniParlor and OmniCalf.
Together, those products cover areas including animal welfare, calf care, milking, feed management and employee performance. Cattle Care also offers customer support in two languages and on-site specialists for dairy operations. OmniFeed’s launch adds artificial intelligence, computer vision, GPS and automated data analysis to the company’s dairy-technology portfolio.
