Cattle, Poultry, and Milk: How Producer Prices Vary in EAEU Countries
The average producer price for live cattle in Kyrgyzstan was $3,797 per ton. This is the highest figure among the EAEU countries represented in the EEC data. For comparison, in Kazakhstan, the price was $2,851 per ton, in Russia — $2,648, in Belarus — $1,369.
In the segment of sheep and goats in live weight, the average producer price in Kyrgyzstan reached $3,412 per ton. The only higher figure was in Russia — $3,787 per ton. In Kazakhstan, the price was $2,900 per ton.
Agricultural poultry from producers in Kyrgyzstan cost $2,424 per ton. This is one of the highest levels among EAEU countries after Kazakhstan, where the figure was $2,534 per ton. In Russia, the price was lower — $1,580 per ton, in Belarus — $1,024.
Regarding raw cow's milk, Kyrgyzstan, on the contrary, is not among the most expensive markets in the EAEU. The average producer price was $445 per ton. This is lower than in Kazakhstan — $490 per ton, Russia — $474, and Armenia — $468, but higher than the level in Belarus, where the figure was $417.
Chicken eggs in shell from producers in Kyrgyzstan cost $111 per 1,000 pieces. This is higher than in Russia — $105, Kazakhstan — $88, and Belarus — $78, but significantly lower than in Armenia, where the price reached $207 per 1,000 pieces.
