Canada and New Zealand have reached an agreement to settle a long-standing dairy access dispute.

Canada and New Zealand have successfully concluded a "mutually satisfactory" agreement regarding a prolonged dispute over dairy product access, announced by the Canadian government this Thursday.
The resolution, achieved through detailed consultations with Canadian dairy stakeholders, will bring about minor policy changes in Canada's TRQ (tariff rate quotas) administration. However, it does not alter Canada's commitments to market access, according to a joint statement by International Trade Minister Maninder Sidhu and Agriculture Minister Heath MacDonald.
